William P. Miller

The great poet Maya Angelou once said “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Through the power of creating excellent guest experiences, William P. Miller’s sense of style, knowledge of design, and "insider" entertainment contacts have all placed him in the upper echelon of the special events industry. Known for his creative vision, versatility, and ability to execute, W.P. has traveled the world, producing breath-taking events:  from intimate receptions to spectacular galas and lavish weddings.

His trend-setting event designs and spectacular events have appeared in such national publications as Brides Magazine, People Magazine, GQ, Glamour, Life & Style, Ebony, Jet, In Style Magazine and many others. He has also appeared on many network television shows including OWN’s Raising Whitley, Entertainment Tonight, Whose Wedding is it Anyway?, Married Away, as well as on International television French network program 100% Mag.

A native of Chicago, W.P.  is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Marketing and International Business. Prior to his career in the Special Events industry, for twenty years, W.P. worked in a variety of management, marketing and customer service positions with United Airlines where several successful consumer initiatives were under his direction.  

Deciding to pursue his passion for design, home entertainment, and orchestrating excellent guest experiences, W.P. founded his production company, "W. P. Miller Special Events" in 1999.  The company has grown to become a highly sought-after "one-stop-shop,” handling all aspects of event production.  Over the years he has produced events for earning the trust of well-known celebrities, politicians, and respected corporate leaders including Oscar Winner Mira Sorvino, Kim Whitley, Adrienne Maloof, Niecy Nash, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Holly Robinson Peete, Senators Kristen Gillibrand, Tim Kaine, Harry Reid, Cory Booker, Vice-President Kamala Harris, and Former First Ladies  Michelle Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.

When not planning an event, you will find William designing custom stationery or table linen, manufacturing his candle line,  mentoring new event professionals or supporting at-risk inner-city youth.
