Selina Howard, Creative Director/Stylist for Vainglorious Brides, is an internationally published bridal stylist for brides who crave a curated fashion experience for their wedding day and all surrounding events.

Prior to launching Vainglorious Brides, Selina was a full-time educator who holds a B.S. in Health Education from Virginia State University and a M.S. in Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. Her career in weddings began with her boutique planning firm Selina Howard Events (SHE) in 2011. Although Vainglorious Brides was born under the SHE umbrella in 2012, Selina became passionate about working more intimately with brides as she helped to ensure one of the most important elements of the wedding—the dress—was chosen precisely and bustled to perfection (not to mention, the countless influential times she had to steam dresses as a planner). Clearly, there was a need in the industry for a professional to oversee the fashion experience during the wedding process and provide a service for the busy professional bride who just does not have time to worry about finding the perfect dress.

Today, as the CEO of Vainglorious Brides, Selina offers custom bridal shopping experiences, day of dressing services, editorial services, bridal fashion product styling, creative direction, and bridal fashion event production. She also owns and operates Vainglorious Brides The Boutique- a bridal dress salon based in Atlanta, GA.

Selina has been featured in Munaluchi, Style Me Pretty, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, The B Collective Magazine, Bella Naija, Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Unveiled, Inside Weddings, Brides Magazine, The New York Post, The New York Times, Essence, Yahoo Fashion. She was featured on Bravo TV’s Blood, Sweat, and Heels as bridal stylist for Demetria Lucas. She was also seen on VH1 Love and Hip-Hop’s The Wedding- dressing Yandy Smith for her wedding.

Her client roster includes Kristen Jarvis West, the former assistant to the FLOTUS Michelle Obama, Eva Marcille of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kimbella of Love and Hip and Hop, Ashley Tate-Gilmore, the former White House Travel Director to President Barack Obama, Erica Mena, Kierra Sheard, Naturi Naughton ( Power), Neyo and Crystal Smith, The Brat and Judy Dupart, and Whitney Headen.

Selina resides in New Jersey with her husband Andre, four children, one granddaughter, and one grandson.
