Richard Snow is a community advocate and banking professional with 20 years of experience in SBA and Commercial financing. Richard received an MBA from Eastern University and BA in Speech Communication/Public Relations from Edinboro University with a minor in economics.
Richard is the VP National Franchise & Specialty Lending Relationship Manager at Bremer Bank. Responsible for providing commercial financing to franchise brands throughout the USA. Mr. Snow played a crucial role in guiding entrepreneurs in the US and Canadian franchise industry through the complex process of small business lending, funding over $300 million in SBA loans in 2018-2023. In his previous roles as VP SBA National Franchise Relationship Manager and SBA Funding Specialist at WSFS Bank and Benetrends Financial.
The International Franchise Association named Richard Snow as the recipient of its 2023 Ronald E. Harrison Award. This award, given at the 63rd IFA Annual Convention, recognizes an organization or individual who has made significant contributions to minorities in franchising and expanding diversity, equity, and inclusion matters either within their franchise organizations or within the franchise community. Mr. Snow was also the recipient of the Open for Opportunity Awards because of his influence within Mid-Atlantic tri-state area, in spreading word about the economic impact and opportunities in franchising. Snow is the Chair of the International Franchise Association Black Franchise Leadership Council, Board Member for the IFA Diversity Institute, Board Member of the IFA Foundation, the past Board President of The Business Center for Entrepreneurship, and NBMBAA Philadelphia Chapter Board Member. Richard was featured in the Franchise World Magazine in June 2022 and National Speaker at the IFA Conference in San Diego, CA, and Congressional Black Caucus Panelist in 2022. Mr. Snow is also the Host of the Smart Start Now Podcast.
Snow is a strong advocate of franchising and entrepreneurship. He champions this cause by working with organizations such as IFA, NBMBAA, OFN, ICABA, US Black Chamber, Thomas Jefferson University, and the University of Penn; he is helping to empower the national entrepreneurship landscape.
As a speaker, Richard recently hosted and coordinated panels discussing the challenges and barriers facing black entrepreneurs in franchising with US Black Chamber CEO Ron Busby and 2X NFL Superbowl Champion Malcolm Jenkins. He also worked with Rep Alma Adams, the HBCU Caucus, and Benedict College President Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis to share the world of Franchising with HBCU students. He and his wife of 15 years, Denise Marie Snow, and two sons, reside in Cherry Hill, NJ
