From humble beginnings to soaring above and beyond achieving her wildest dreams, DiannValentine has turned what was once a dream into a reality. As a vivacious innovative mastermind, Diann powers forward to further her passion for the art of living well, all while looking and feeling beautiful. From hosting Bravo TV’s “To Rome For Love,” Valentine continues to maneuver between being a businesswoman, television personality, event designer, and Glow + Flow Beauty Supply and Salon owner.
As an incredibly sought-after and admired TV host and event designer, Valentine saw a natural transition to fuse her deepest passions, beauty, and events, to help women look and feel fabulous. Understanding these dynamics about herself, she and her husband launched a beauty supply store to service the incredible women in their communities she willingly champions.
As Diann journeys to success in the beauty industry, she’s noticed that women who look like her were the primary consumers, but not necessarily the primary owners. Consequently, she was faced with the question, “How can I build a brand and legacy for my family and other women to emulate and one that will withstand time?” Diann has received advice and learned lessons from successful African American beauty owners who have blazed the trail before her. These names include The Bronner Bros, one of the most extensive private African American hair and skincare producers, and Richelieu Dennis, the Founder, CEO, and Executive Chairman, Sundial Brands, to further her learning and business acumen.
While learning from many of the greats, Diann is paying it forward by educating customers she encounters to be conscious consumers. Valentine has taken the initiative to encourage women to look beyond the label and learn more about the companies they are purchasing from and encourage consumers to support brands that fuel the communities where they live. For many people, this may sound like extra work, or it may throw a wrench in business plans. Still, for Diann, it’s certainly easy to do because it benefits her community and teaches consumers the essence of what Glowing and Flowing means. Glow + Flow Beauty has transformed from a beauty business that provides products and services to a mantra shared through the company creating an atmosphere of empowerment and motivation.
Diann was born in Oakland, California, to parents who encouraged her to do “whatever [she wants] to do" which is a motto that continues to guide her life. Valentine attended college at Cal State Hayward and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. With a flourishing business and career, Valentine has achieved numerous accomplishments and has inspired many during numerous domestic and international public speaking engagements. Her love of personal touch and human interaction allows her to excite audiences and mesmerize them with her years of production and life experiences wrapped in an electrifying smile.
